Learning Latin

So far I have noticed that in learning Latin it is similar to Spanish, English, German, French, and so many other languages. The alphabet reminds me of the German alphabet. I shall continue on in my study of different languages and post bits and pieces on my blog.


Here is the first:

"Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres, quarum unam "incolunt Belgae, aliam Aquitanii, tertiam qui ipsorum lingua Celtae, nostra Gallii appellantur."

                       This is a passage from the Gallic War or Julius Caesar.
Caesar is prounouced ( KAI- sahr). I just learned this as well.
